#30daysofgratitude day 3, food


We host Thanksgiving every year – appetizers, full dinner, desert, cocktails. Always Manly’s family, sometimes pieces of mine, rarely a friend or two.  We make a host of staples every year, but I always try to sneak in one or two new things, with an eye towards more tradional Southern fare.   Last year I slipped in turnip greens and black-eyed peas.  This year I was contemplating corn pudding, but then this month’s Southern Living showed up with this recipe for spoon bread muffins. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to wait 3 weeks to make them.  Maybe a test run this weekend is in order…
