Thanksgiving Menu

Time to start cooking this weekend!  The menu looks like:

Appetizers:

  •  Spinach dip with baguette toast
  • Marinated artichoke hearts
  • Balsamic marinated olives
  • Mulled red wine

Dinner

  • Roast turkey (thawing in fridge)
  • Pennsylvania dry stuffing (my MIL’s recipe)
  • Paula Dean’s cornbread dressing (cause I’m from the South; we don’t do stuffing here)
  • Roasted green beans
  • Roasted herbed new potatoes
  • Sweet potato casserole (MIL will bring)
  • Cranberry sauce (MIL will bring)
  • Gravy

Dessert

  • Pumpkin pie and homemade whipped cream
  • Orange italian cream cake (S.outhern L.iving recipe)

Also on deck to be made this week:

  • Hunter’s stew (with sirloin instead of venison)
  • Rice crispie treats
  • Peanut butter buckeyes
  • Oatmeal raisin cookies

Nummm.  I’m happy just thinking about it 🙂
