sharah: our storyteller and main character. A young infertile working through the process of overcoming infertility and maintaining her sanity at the same time.
Manly: the knight in shining armor married to sharah. Can be counted on to kill bugs, replace electrical outlets, and leave dirty clothes everywhere but in the laundry basket.
FX: Manly’s younger brother, a member of Fraternity X, who originally introduced sharah and Manly.
SIL-X: FX’s wife, sharah’s sorority sister from Sorority X. Now with added pregnancy!
Dr. Local: making his appearance as the Reproductive Endocrinologist. Also known as “Dr. Looks-Like-He’s-25-But-Is-Actually 40″, “Dr. Are-You-Sure-You’ve-Never-Had-Problems-With-Your-Thyroid”, or “Dr. Really-Positive-You’ll-Respond-To-Drugs”.
Nurse Short-and-Sweet (SAS): the nurse assigned to sharah at her RE’s office. Point of contact for questions, answers, and making the occasional appearance as wand-monkey.
Dr. UOG: Dr. Useless OB-GYN who doesn’t deal with infertility at ALL and sent sharah off to Dr. Local as soon as she started asking questions.
