Like Calliope, I too found the Glastonbury Tarot through Oro. I did a reading last week but I couldn’t coherently explain what I thought about my results. But I promised Calli that I would post the reading, so here it is. Overall, my belief is that horoscopes, tarot, psychics, etc. all give rather general advice that is bland enough and esoteric enough that you can apply any interpretation you want to it. So my interpretation of the response below is that now IS the time for me to make some changes in my life. Infertility is something that I need to leave behind so that I can focus on the future, namely my career and my relationship with Manly. What I do LOVE about the reading is the questions that are posed after each card — they have given me a lot to think about as I try to make sense of my life at the moment.
My question: clarification of desire
Your present position: MAID OF CHALICES
The Maid of Chalices represents the ability to give freely of yourself. There is a kind of innocence and purity in this card, and an openness to what feels fresh and new. You can now be receptive to the ideas, energies, and feelings of others, and can rely on your intuition to know who you can or cannot trust.Your sensitivity is heightened. This is a time of hope, where you can afford to be flexible and open-hearted. This card can signify a new and tender beginning to a relationship, and the ability to put your trust in another.
Question to ponder: What are your feelings about trust?
What crosses you: KING OF VESICAS
The king of Vesicas shows the ability to work hard in order to reach your goals. This card shows the need for form and structure in your life. It can indicate a businessman, lawyer, doctor, or someone in a position of authority who can advise you. This card indicates that you are on the brink of success, and are now ready to enjoy the its fruits and trappings. You can now tap into the wisdom aspect of yourself, and tune into what brings you a feeling of inner peace. This is the time to forge ahead with confidence, as you are able to accomplish whatever you set out to achieve.
Question to ponder: Are you now ready for success?
The future: FOUR OF STAFFS
Completion A phase of your life has now drawn to a close, and it is time to move forward into a fresh and exciting new beginning. There is a sense of optimism, and a growing sense of freedom. Plans can now be put into action. The imminent change brings with it the potential for a fresh start. This could take the form of a new relationship, home, or job, or a deeper sense of commitment within an existing relationship.
Question to ponder: What needs to be completed in your life?
What is passing out of your life: THE EMPEROR
The Emperor signifies stability and authority. There is the need, and the ability, to maintain the status quo, and to act as an anchor. The Emperor is the father figure, who is able to lay the groundwork for creativity to spring from. This card advises you to lay foundations, create firm boundaries along with stability and order, and to explore where discipline is needed in your life. In the card, the Emperor holds his sceptre across his lap, indicating that you can tap into your qualities of wise leadership. His sword rests by his side. He does not need to wield his sword to prove his power – just showing it is enough. This is a time when you can take the helm, and feel in control of your life. Yet, too strong a need for rules and structure can be stifling. Finding the balance between stability and rigidity is called for in your situation.
Question to ponder: In what areas of your life would it be helpful to exercise your authority?
The past: DEATH
The Death card signifies the ending of a phase in your life, which leads you into a new beginning. It indicates that it is time to let go of the past. This card can denote the ending of a job or relationship, because the situation has run its course. All that can be learned from it has been integrated, and it is time to move on, to seek new areas of experience in the arena of life. This card does not indicate physical death; it’s influence paves the way for a fresh beginning in your life, and is a reminder that letting go of attachments can be painful, but is ultimately rewarding. This card is an encouragement to push for change, to put behind you all of the factors which have held you back, to sever connections which are no longer helpful to you and which no longer support you. In order to accomplish this, you need to identify and recognise any fears of change which could hinder you from moving forward. This is a time of cleansing, and can allow you to experience a transformation in your circumstances. Take as your symbols at this time… the phoenix rising from the ashes, and the caterpillar emerging as a butterfly.
Question to ponder: What needs to be released from your life?
The future: THREE OF STAFFS – Honesty
This is the time for honesty in your dealings with others. This card hints that you can trust those around you, and can feel centred and rooted in the everyday experiences of your life. Your self-confidence is high, and you are uncompromising about what you believe in, because you know that it works for you. Goals can be accomplished because of your steadfastness and determination. The Three of Staffs also indicates that creative opportunities are coming your way. The image on the card shows a figure holding two staffs. The third staff is left behind, signifying that it is time to move on.
Question to ponder: Are you able to be totally honest with yourself about what you want in life?
Where you will find yourself: QUEEN OF SWORDS
The Queen of Swords indicates that you have experienced a great deal in your life, and have passed through the veils of disillusionment to reach a still, uncompromising aspect of yourself. You desire from others the openness and honesty that you yourself offer, and you do not suffer fools gladly. It is time to remove any masks that cover your true insight into a situation. Ensure that no-one is trying to ‘pull the wool over your eyes’. You are now able to think clearly, and can employ your ability to be objective. It is time to use this with honesty and compassion.
Question to ponder: Where do you need to be uncompromising in this situation?
Your surroundings and how others see you: SEVEN OF SWORDS – Boundaries
This card reveals the ability to set boundaries for what you want and do not want in your life, yet still be able to feel close to, and relate to other people. You are likely to feel stifled if your boundaries are overstepped. There is a need for you to retain your individuality, and claim your own sacred space. There is also an indication of respect for the sacred space of others.Problems in relationships can now be resolved through clear, direct communication. You need to remain centred within yourself, and kindly but firmly state your needs and how they could best be met. It is also important that you listen to and respect the views of others who are in dialogue with you.
Question to ponder: Where in your relationships is there a need for firmer boundaries at this time?
Your hopes or fears: THE STAR
The Star brings the warm feeling of the calm that follows a storm. Hope can blossom, life glows with promise and possibilities, and there is a new sense of freedom. This card indicates a time when you can bring your dreams to fruition.A blissful state of inner peace sets the tone for a feeling of benevolence towards yourself and the world. This is a time of hope, renewal and healing. You can now be who you truly are, and can trust in the power of your intuition, your inner knowing. This clarity of vision brings a new purpose to your life, which enables like-minded people to be drawn to you who can help you to fulfil that purpose. Now is the time to dream your dreams, to bring them into form, because your confidence in yourself is blossoming. You feel connected to yourself and to the rest of the world, and if you trust in the ability of the universe to fulfil your needs, this will be borne out by the opportunities which will be presented to you.
Question to ponder: Are you now ready to let your light shine?
The outcome: NINE OF CHALICES – Generosity
This card signifies open-heartedness. Your ability to accept others as they are, without judgement and with no expectations of them, gives you an endear ing quality that draws people to you. Because you are able to function from your heart energy, the universe responds by enabling you to accept its gifts while you offer your own gifts of love and compassion to others. This is a time of abundance, a time when your dreams are about to be realised, filling you with a sense of blessedness. Allow yourself to enjoy what is being offered to you, without questioning it, because it is your own positive energy that is finding its way back to you. A healing is taking place on many levels, so allow yourself to celebrate the bounty of life.
Question to ponder: Are you willing to receive as well as to give?

I love that we were both drawn to do a reading. And, like you, I also think that you see what you want/need to see. I tend to gravitate towards the “outcome” card first & i really dig what yours has to say about a healing taking place on many levels.
