First, boring technical update: I did my CD3 bloods and scan this morning, even though it’s CD2, because my RE doesn’t do routine work on Saturdays. I don’t blame him, because I don’t want to come in on Saturday morning either. Everything looks fine, and I’ll start my second round of Femara tomorrow unless my bloodwork comes back with problems. Also, we got the HSG scheduled for next Wednesday at 12:15. Again, unless something unexpected comes up, we’ll go ahead and get that out of the way. I’m a little worried because Manly won’t be able to get off work to come in with me, so I’ll be there by myself. But I am taking the afternoon off afterwards, just in case.
Now the fun stuff. First, did I tell you guys that I officially graduate on Sunday? My school always has the graduation ceremony on Mother’s Day, which is strange but effective. My parents are coming up tomorrow morning and spending the night with us, so we’re going to do the family thing on Saturday night and have Manly’s parents over to cook out. One of my friends is also in town house-sitting for her mom, so she’s coming over as well. So a good weekend lined up to take my mind off of M-Day. And come Monday morning, I will be promoted to a Research SCIENTIST with the accompanying pay raise, whoot! New business cards for me!
Now, winks tagged me to do this I Am thing last week, but I’m just now getting around to it. This was actually pretty hard for me, because I don’t usually think of myself in this manner. So here goes.
- I am a pretty decent cook, though I do have bad nights.
- I am an avid reader, when I have time to do so.
- I am a student interested in how and why the world works.
- I am learning to balance my belief in a good God with the reality of what the world actually is.
- I am horribly confused about my own reaction to IF; misery, anger, jealousy, sadness, hope, all mixed up.
- I am terrified that I will never have a child of my own.
- I am actually a much more balanced person than this blog would leave you to believe.
We’ve gone through a lot of Q&A recently, but if there’s anything else you want to ask, now’s the time!
Now it’s your turn:
- Pamela Jean at Coming2Terms
- LIW at Purgatory
- Coffeegrl at It’s Not In the Water
- Lindsey at This Side of Pregnant

Consider yourself tagged. What are you?

I took the afternoon off after my HSG. I probably could have gone back to work, but it was really nice to go home and deal with the yuckiness from there.
Congrats on graduation!

Congratulations on the graduation! I’m so jealous – I’ve still got a few weeks left and really have “senioritis”. And YAY on a promotion

Congratulations on your graduation and the move upwards at work! That sounds like quite an accomplishment! Good luck on your HSG next week. I think the nerves beforehand are far worse than the actual procedure. I hope that you receive some long awaited answers.

Congratulations on graduation! Here is that good stiff margarita to celebrate (and I’m sending you another margarita on Wednesday before the HSG).
Congratulations on the new business cards AND the new job
Especially the pay raise.
